Introduction

Driver Technologies's objective is to protect your organization's most important asset – your employees – which is why we designed DriverPro with them in mind. Using Jamf, you can leverage your employees’ managed devices to deploy the Driver app, which will automatically detect when an employee starts to drive, collect location, speed, g-force, weather, and telematics events. This data is then unified in the Driver Cloud, providing full coverage of your fleet as you track vehicles live in real-time. Mount the phone and it becomes a dash cam and safety alert system.

You can deploy DriverPro within your organization by following the steps below:

  1. Request access to DriverPro
  2. Deploy the Driver app on managed devices
  3. Receive and distribute DriverPro organization link to managed devices
  4. Create Driver app user accounts and login
  5. Configure Driver app settings

1. Request access to DriverPro

An administrative DriverPro account will need to be created by the Driver Technologies team for your organization. You can request access here.

2. Deploy the Driver app on managed devices

DriverPro requires the mobile app "Driver: AI Cloud Dash Cam" to be distributed to managed devices. Driver: AI Cloud Dash Cam is available for iPhone and iPad through the App Store on Jamf Now. This version relies on the App Store for software updates, and requires iOS 16.0 or later to operate.

3. Receive and distribute DriverPro organization link to managed devices

In order to link the Driver app on your managed devices to your DriverPro organization, an organization referral link must be distributed to all managed devices. Your organization referral link will be provided by the Driver Technologies team. The link can be distributed however you prefer, including text or email.

4. Create Driver app user accounts and login

Each managed device must be assigned its own user account for DriverPro. To create a DriverPro user account and login:

  1. On a device, tap to open the referral link distributed in step 3.
  2. Create a username and password, then tap "Create Account and Join Org."
  3. A browser will open the Driver Cloud. Scroll down to option 2 and tap "Login to App."
  4. Open the Driver app and navigate to the profile tab at the bottom right. You will now see the user email displayed. The Driver app may need to be restarted for the login to display correctly.

5. Configure Driver app settings

The Driver app has many settings that cater to each fleet's needs. Either configure these settings on the device, or work with Driver to default certain settings at an organization level.
